NIACUS Umpiring Course

From the NCU website:

NIACUS are running an Umpires’ Training Course early in 2006. The Course will cover the Syllabus for the new GL6 and GL5 Multiple Choice ACU&S Examinations. Priority in this Course will be given to those candidates who have already passed GL6 and who wish to prepare for the GL5 Examination and GL4, the Oral Examination.

However, anybody who is interested in learning more about the Laws of Cricket in order to umpire their own Second or Third Eleven matches or teachers who stand in Schools games, will find the Course very useful and would be more than welcome to attend.

The Course will be held over 10 weeks on a Tuesday evening at the Shaw’s Bridge Sports Complex from 7.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. starting on 10th January, 2006. The date of any Examination will be arranged at a later date to facilitate as many candidates as possible, although there is no obligation on anyone attending to sit an examination.

There will be a charge of £5 per person for the Training Course.

If you are interested in attending the Course, please advise Jimmy McCall, 36 Belfast Road, Holywood with your contact details and club or school affiliation.
