Ump

The Umpires roadshow........verdict.

Brilliant, thanks to the NIACUS staff tutors for a
most excellent evening.

PCC was well represented, and as usual it was the Taverners and the junior section who bent their combined backs and made the effort to attend the session and take the
pre grade umpires exam. Everyone of our guys passed the test, and although we were the best represented club, on show, I wouldn't be inspired to invite the NIACUS to Chambers park for a similar event.

Insurance:
After many questions about insurance the Taverners have had no answer either way.
I have to say now that, if the Taverners do not get a positive result on this insurance question,
then , the taverners will be a non starter.

The Waringstown Roadshow

Pre-grade entry test for umpires:
If you have to umpire a few overs on match day,
then this is the ticket. This is a must for team captains,
or anyone who wants to learn some cricket law
and correct procedure.
There is no charge for the roadshow, and there is no pressure
to take the test. Anyone successful in the test will recieve a certificate
saying that they have a basic knowledge of cricket law.

Open to all ages:
Monday 27th March at 7:30pm at Waringstown,
upstairs in the pavillion.

I have 6 seats left in my van.

NCU U13 coaching session

NCU U13 coaching session details have been arranged.
Ryan, Conan, Luke (Josh lives here already)
will meet at my house 6:30pm Friday 10th March
the session finishes at 9:30pm and I will drop the guys off at
their homes.
There are two more (rear) seats available in my van
and if anyone wants to come along and watch the proceedings,
they will be most welcome.

This session clashes with the club indoor training which is inPortadown college
at the same time. So if anyone is injured and can't train call me.
